Solar grazing employs sheep as a vegetation management tool utilized by solar asset operators, managers, and owners.  The sheep quietly graze and clear green or dry vegetation in and around the solar panels and sensitive infrastructure.  Solar Companies employ sheep grazing within their solar power plants to keep vegetation from encroaching on sensitive, high-value equipment and infrastructure, to prevent noxious weeds from propagating, to improve worker safety, and to reduce fire fuel load risk.  Sheep grazing also improves soil health and function, pasture biodiversity, and is the most eco-friendly vegetation management tool.  Sheep were custom made to manage the vegetation within solar sites, as they are nature’s perfect wooly weeders and 4-legged fire fighters, just doing the job mother nature set out for them eons ago!
